Our Why
Interviews are the most important part of the recruiting process, yet and still, so many people are never taught how to properly interview.
As first-generation college students, we felt like we were fish out of the water trying to navigate the career world. Now, we are teaching students what we wish we knew earlier in our careers.
That’s why we created the Stay Ready: Interview Prep Worksop.
Our mission with the workshop is to help individuals take control of their career path with the most comprehensive interview preparation, which will lead to better employment opportunities for the future of the Indianapolis community.

We understand how overwhelming it can be to try to truly sell yourself and let your personality and expertise shine during interviews. That’s why we have created the Interview Prep Workshop.
We’ll coach you on how to impress hiring managers even if you have little or no experience in the job force yet. We will give you the skills you need to build a strong interviewing foundation. You’ve put a lot of time and effort into your education; now it’s time to let us prepare you to navigate this necessary next step in building your exciting, new career!
Whether you want to perfect your “elevator pitch,” learn how to answer what seems like tough interview questions or master behaviorally-based interview techniques, we are here for you! We believe in customized coaching and personalized feedback in a small, intimate setting. It’s one thing to read self-help interview books or do your own research, but one-on-one training is a much more powerful learning experience. Plus, you’ll have fun while doing it!

Norwood is a journalist by trade but a HR professional by passion that’s why she is the host of All Things Career podcast. The mission of the show is to empower professionals of color with the unwritten rules of career success. Her career purpose is to help minorities have a fair chance at achieving their career goals and be empowered to reach their full potential.

The short answer is no. This event is for high school and college students, recent graduates and anyone looking for a career. Everyone is welcomed!

No. In fact, you will only be allowed to sign up for one cohort. Our intent is to offer the workshop twice so that we can reach more people. However, space is very limited, so register today!
