Will you be in my Wedding?

For as long as I could remember, I wanted to have a tribe of my favorite ladies standing next to me on my wedding day. But then reality set in and I was a bridesmaid and did not have the experience I had imagined. You buy an expensive bridesmaid dress, shoes, accessories, etc. that you will never wear again and participate in so many events!

I wanted a different experience for my ladies, so I created “The Inner Circle.”

The inner circle is the modern bridesmaid minus purchasing a bridesmaid dress, walking down the aisle and other duties that create financial and emotional stress. My inner circle is comprised of 8 boss ladies who are my closest friends – basically I have 8 Maid of Honors!

The best part of it all is asking them to be apart of the special day. Here’s how I did it:

Presentation is everything! I found this value pack gold 10-box set from Amazon. It also came with cute bows to tie on the top.

I purchased a few of my favorite must haves. I am a will-they-really-use-this type of gift giver. P.S. all of these things were on a budget and under $15 per item.

Next, I recorded and edited a short 1 min video for each girl. This video shared why this woman is important to me and then I asked the big question – “Will you be apart of the inner circle.” The key is that I uploaded these videos to my Google Drive and then used the link to create a QR code so that they could watch the video. Watch an example video here.

Another thing I included was a cheat sheet of questions including an explanation of what the inner circle is, who else is in the inner circle, what their specific duties are and dates to note. Which is key for your tribe to know what is expected of them early on!

I am so excited for each lady to receive their box and wanted to share with another newly engaged sister how I got creative! Remember, it is your day and you make the rules! Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box.
